About Us

R.E. Yalung Farm is established in 1974 in Antipolo, Rizal Philippines. We’ve started as a hog raiser, breeding hogs and supply pork and livestock in the province.

In the 1980’s we’ve expanded our business with Meat processing using our own farm produced meat. Due to the high demand of sausages, we’ve expanded our business with importing Sausage raw materials from the United States.

In 1997 our company started importing Natural Casings, Cellulose Casings and Collagen Casings from the United States and Europe and expanded with Textured Vegetable protein from India and Spices from the local market in the late 1990’s.

Currently, we are the leading supplier of various meat processing raw materials in the Philippines particularly Natural Casings, Collagen Casings, and Cellulose Casings.

Products

Natural Sausage Casings are made from the sub-mucosa of the intestines from various animals.

Natural casings are irregular in size, although high quality sheep and lamb casings can be almost indistinguishable from a collagen casing as they have no noticeable imperfections. The size and usage of natural casings are impacted by the animal they are derived from, the narrowest being lamb followed by sheep followed by hog followed by beef.

Smaller diameter (between 16mm to 32mm) natural casings are made from Sheep or Lamb intestines, while the average diameter (between 28mm to 58mm) natural casings are made from Hog intestines, and the larger diameter (between 43mm to 65mm) natural casings are from cows or beef casings.

Cellulose Casings

Cellulose, usually from cotton linters, is processed to make viscose, which is then extruded into clear, tough casings for making wieners and franks. They also are shirred for easier use and can be treated with dye to make “red colored sausages”. The casing is peeled off after cooking, resulting in “skinless” franks.

We have various sizes ranging from 14mm to 33mm diameter available in Dark Cherry or Natural Color.

Collagen Casings

Collagen casings are edible casings made from livestock skins and tendons as raw materials. We have various diameter of Collagen Casings from 21mm to 33mm

Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) is a defatted soy flour product, a by-product of extracting soybean oil. It is often used as a meat analogue or meat extender.

Textured Vegetable Protein is available in Granules, Fine, Chunks and Powder.
